Hi, its been several years since I've been here and recently remembered about Jagged Alliance 2 and thought I should give this another go.

I've started a game now and created an IMP (cheated a bit in order to make a strong merc from the get go) and chosen the Experienced difficulty when starting the game.

The problem is im getting wrecked. I dont remember the enemy soldiers (especially the dudes at the very start of the game) being so accurate back when i last played this. I was on a roof, prone, when someone noticed me and a dude fires a burst my way with every bullet hitting me (insta-dead). This guy wasnt that close to me ... I thought that may have been bad rng so i loaded a previous save, got myself behind some rubble and again, died almost instantly to some other guy who seems to have hit most of his burst from some distance away.

Maybe im doing something wrong but i dont remember things being so difficult. Was their chance to hit buffed at some point?

Is there a way for me to nerf their chance to hit a bit or something?

To note im playing with AIMNAS mod.

EDIT: NCTH was selected when starting the game

Enemy hit chance depends on difficulty level and mod specific settings. In DifficultySettings.xml you can find difficulty related stuff. Values for "CthConstantsBaseDifficulty" and "CthConstantsAimDifficulty" affect enemy CTH and these get a nice bonus on Expert and Insane.
AIMNAS probably modifies a ton of game settings that I'm not aware of and I don't even know if it was balanced for NCTH anyway. For example CTHConstants.ini and Skills_Settings.INI may be modified. Weapon properties may be different from the default 1.13 too. It's hard to say why enemies in your game are so damn accurate.
