| Items Disappearing from Backpack/Pockets Bug[message #358676]

I've read about this infamous bug and it seems to happen because of stacking filled backpacks(or any thing that has a pocket) within another backpack, causing the game to "forget" the items within the stored backpack.
I found them mentioned here (thepit.ja-galaxy-forum[dot]com/index.php?t=msg&th=22118&goto=343426&#msg_343426 & arulco.blogspot[dot]com/p/bugs.html).
Unfortunately though I've only read about it after encountering the bug myself.
Though a workaround was mentioned, it hasn't worked for me as the moment I pick my backpack up and place it on my merc's back (either through Tactical Screen or Map), it causes the content within to disappear.
Another point worth mentioning is that this bug only happens after I save/quicksave into a new/existing slot, it does not happen (yet) when I load my latest save.
I have not found any mention of a fix to this.
Has anybody encountered this and found a fix/patch for it yet?
