Hey there,

I'd like to choose the starting equipment of my IMP mercs among all available items. I know that there is a mod which allows you to select from a variety of items, but I did not find any download link. Besides, it seems that the selection is restricted.

So long story short: how can I equip my IMP guys individually with the stuff I would like to before starting the tactical game?

The feature is described here. It requires an exe of version 7529 or greater and you need to modify IMPItemChoices.xml to hold the items that you want.

Thanks, this is the post I read several times before posting my own.

I have Build 7609 installed but I do not have any option to choose the gear after the IMP creation.

I still do not understand how to get it work - do I "simply" have to change the .xml-file? This way I would get the items I wish but still could not select among them as seen in the screenshot...?

It looks like this feature was added to the development version at a time when the stable version was prepared. The stable only got bug fixes and no new features at that time. So the new gear selection is not in the stable 7609 release.

A huge thank you! With some guess work I was able to edit the right part of the impitemchoices.xml and give my starting merc a Christmas present!
