Iam wondering why on Github there arent all Versions of the mod 1.13
Actually there is V1, V5 and V4. Does anyone know a second source for older Versions of the mod?
Is there any Motivation or Intention to built up an archive of all Versions here or to provide all Versions on Github? In my opinion its sad that you can only download the newest Versions and the old ones get lost. The mod has been built over years and not everyone always wants to play only the newest Version. Especially in the case of JA2. It would be so nice to have an archive. Making none has no reason for me, especially on github that is made to do exactly this.
Besides of that iam searching Version JA2_113-v3-Gb8faLa10d that can be found on archive.org but cannot be downloaded there...
If someone can upload version 3 for me in englisch and german, or maybe in all languages i definitely would spend a coffee. If someone is missing Version 2 and likes to have it i can provide that.

The reason V2, V3 and V4 were removed was because they were compiled with link-time optimization flag on, which caused hard to debug random and intermittent crashes for players. There are only 15 changes in the source code between v3 and v5, which you can see here https://github.com/1dot13/source/compare/v3...v5
If you absolutely must have v3, then the source code still has the tag v3 saved (https://github.com/1dot13/source/tree/v3), but it would mean compiling an executable yourself. The more difficult thing would be to track down what specific gamedir and gamedir-languages version was used alongside it, as that is not shown in the tag. We normally provided the info in JA2-113-Version.txt inside the release but that's of course now missing since the release itself has been removed.
v5 will stay up and not get removed, as it is the last release that does not include the increased tactical character limits feature, that breaks savegame compatibility with older versions.
