...which actor would be in wich character`s role?
Submit your choices!

I think these selections would somewhat fit:

Biff: Quentin Tarantino (would direct it too)
Gus: Danny Glover
Speck: Woody Allen
Gumpy: Adam Sandler
Hitman: Robert de Niro
Vicki: Pam Grier
Steroid: Arnold Schwarzenegger
Sidney: John Cleese
Nails: Lemmy from Mot

Buzz - Rain from Resident Evil. Her real name escapes me, and she may not look the same, she sure has the same personality in that movie.

Besides, there is an older topic about this, you might want to search it. Not sure how long it is ago, could be 2 years. Wink

ConFusion: I tried to search it but I found only "Movies like JA" topic. You didn`t mean it, did you? It would be great to see those older choices.

Darth: you are right about Gibson. Still I would like to see Samuel L. Jackson in one part and that would be probaply Ice, so Will Smith will stay as Blood at least in my list.

BTW Chris Rock looks very much like that blacksmith in Grumm.

Reaper could be played by Glenn Graham the drummer who was in Blind Melon. They look exactly alike. I also think I could play Thor Kaufman if I cut my hair, but I wont.

The actress who played Rain is Michelle Rodriguez, and she has the Buzz attitude dead on. As for someone playing scope, I'd personally go with Cate Blanchett.

Maddog would definately be played by Lil' John, even though he looks nothing like him, they sound exactly the same, and they only say "Yeah," and such.

Arnold as Steroid would be great, except for all the sexual assault suits that would be filed...

Sean Austin looks like Lynx, or more like MD.
Will Smith is Ice in my book.
Owen Wilson is Scully
Paul Newman or Harrison Ford as Gus
Halle Barry as Vicki
Sammy J would be better as Magic.
Eliza Dushku as Fox.

Christopher Walken can emanate menace with a look, so is perfect as Shadow - he is getting on a bit, but in camo no-one can tell (and you'll need someone who can act with their eyes).
Eric Bana as Trevor? He seems to have lost his Aussie accent. Trevor's voice reminds me more of Steve Irwin or Hoges (whom I suspect the voice-actor aimed to emulate).
Reaper, though having no Martial Arts skill, looks like Steven Seagal or Richard Marcinko (a novelist, but who I'm sure would consider playing the role).
Hugh Jackman as Wolf? Well, he did a pretty mean Wolverine!

Oded Fehr for Thor Kaufman:

http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0004912/

I think Eric Bana could recall his Aussie accent well enough to play Trevor Colby! Eric plays the bogan types really well (think his "Poida" character, or his character from "The Castle") and there is something undeniably bogan about Trevor Colby. In addition I think Eric looks a little bit like Trevor Colby!

I'll attach the STI Edit program along with it. With this program you can load a .bmp over whatever .sti you like in addition to being able to view ja animations frame by frame.
It's alot of fun.
You first need to extract the .slf file to a folder of the same name with another utility I'll send you.

Okay, I have put some thought into this back when I first started the game. JA2 Movie these are my picks:

Ivan- Arnold Schwarzeneggar (Less Offensive also he played a Ruskie in Red Heat) OR Ralf Moeller

Razor- Dolph Lundgren

Shadow- Michael Biehn or Russ Crowe, or even Sam Neill (for looks)

Scully - Owen Wilson

Blood - Wesley Snipes or Lawrence Fishburne(looks)

Buzz - Michelle Rodriguez (agreed)

Fox - Monica Bellucci

Wolf - Mark Wahlberg

Biff - Taratino (agree from above, has the look)

Haywire - Tom Sizemore or Michael Madsen

Igor - Norman Reedus

Trevor - Sean Patrick Flanery

Grunty -Til Schweiger

Ice - Cole Hauser ( but hes white)

Reaper - Sylvester Stallone mebbe?

Raven - Charlize Theron?

I would also throw in Jason Statham (Transporter)
Cant think of anymore ATM. But I would find a spot for all the actors Ive mentioned if not for the same character.

edited to add:

Hamous - John Leguizamo

R. Lee Ermey I could see as Len also. Similarly, any time you use Morgan Freeman it makes a movie a little better.

I think do-me Moore, er, I mean Demi, would make a better Fox.

For Magic, I vote Sidney Potier. Has the arrogance and the good looks, and he was pretty nicely put together when he was young.

Ice is definitely Will Smith.

Actually, I think Demi Moore might be better suited to playing Buzz; Louisa Garneau gives me the impression of being about Moore's age, and we know she can play 'tough and hard-edged'. The 'man-hating' aspect of the character, though... ah, she'd probably be able to find it somewhere. :whoknows:

Oh! Oh! Wil Wheaton and James Marsters as government soldiers who get blown away in the opening minute! Very Happy [In case you hadn't noticed, I really, really hate the characters I recognise those guys as.... :rifle: ]

I agree with at least half of Sgt. Baker's choices... but there are other percect picks too.

Mel Gibson - Shadow (from Baker)
I would kill to see this Very Happy .

Russell Crowe - Reaper (from Baker)
Perfect choice. Not so obvious, unexpected, but yet perfect.

Danny Glover - Gus (from Baker)
Absolutely.

Arnold S. - Ivan (from Nater)
Nice one.

Vicki - Pam Grier (from Baker)
Can't picture anyone else for the role.

Buzz - That chick from Resident Evil or the chick from S.W.A.T. (Are they same? Can't remember..)

Kingpin - Jack Nicholson (from Simmons)
Another one I would kill to see.

Tony (armsdealer) - James Gandolfini (Tony Soprano, most notoriously)
This one's mine, more or less suitable pick Very Happy

Mom - Nicole Kidman (from Baker)
They look too similar to be ignored, and I think Nicole could do the job.

Stephen - Kiefer Sutherland
My idea. I'll probably go to hell even suggesting this. Very Happy

Trevor - Mel Gibson
Mine. If not Shadow, then Trevor.

Hitman - Burt Reynolds
Mine. Though I'm not taking any responsibility for this one. Very Happy

I guess that's about it. I can almost picture Danny Glover and Mel Gibson in an action scene, full-scale firefight going on, both jumping to cover into a trench and D. Glover saying: 'I'm getting too old for this

Shadow - Benicio Del Toro or Johnnie Depp

Hitman - Robert DeNiro (def)

Scope - the British actress from Pirates of the Carribbean

MD - one of the guys from Nip Tuck

Grunty - Gary Busey (haha)

Ivan - Dolf Lundgren

Wolf - Stallone

Fox - Angelina Jolie

Scully - the Crocodile Hunter!

Lynx - Harrison Ford

Corp. Len Anderson - Denzel Washington

Steroid - definately Arnold

Deidranna - the woman from All Dogs go to Heaven! The evil one...
