Import savegame doesnt work[message #55085]

Hi all, ive played JA2 + UB many many times but i have never imported a savegame from JA2 to UB. So last night i thought id give it a try but when I import the savegame and want to start, i get kicked out of the game. it's really annoying.

Don't know if it has anything to do with it but I have the Gold version of JA2 and UB but i changed JA2 to v1.13 so i could use the multiple IMP cheat.

All my IMP's except for one are dead and removed from the list in that savegame so i dont think thats a problem.

can anyone help me with this?

oh by the way, everytime i quit JA2 i get some weird error. Cant remember having this problem a few years ago?

If I'm reading correctly, you are trying to import a v1.13 game into UB? If this is so than it most likely will not work because UB does not recognize the 1.13. To import a savegame, UB must successfully read the data from the version you saved you're game from. Sinc 1.13 has so many changes I'm doubtful UB will read it correctly.

Perhaps someone else should give this a try.

I believe they are working on compatability features (at least I really hope they are. So if you hold on to that savegame perhaps in the future you may be able to load it into a 1.13 version of UB.

There are alot of uniqe errors with Dutch Ja2 games. There seem to be quite a few files missing or corrupted in the .slfs so I'm not sure about the quit error. But if it's something that doesn't cause any in game problems I wouldn't worry about it.

ah ok, thx. ill make sure to hold on to that savegame.
By the way, is there any stats editprogram for the gold version of UB? I tried a german one but it didnt seem to work (maybe im just doing it wrong)
