Any tactical advice to handle this ambush at H2? Short of the obvious, night, stealth, cameo etc.
Now if I had known, I would have hired some Navy Seals (with S.C.U.B.A. equip. :ok:

IIRC, I shot up all the goons on the left bank with silenced SMGs. I then threw lightsticks at the far banks. Enemy goons on the far bank scurried out of the light away from me while I climbed out onto the left bank.

I'm not sure, but maybe my use of silenced weapons prevented other goons farther away from running to my position....

Anyway, once I was out and had some time to bandage wounds and reorganize, it was pretty plain sailing.

Incidentally, I didn't do this, but maybe an artillery strike might help to clear the banks...

Thanks Bane!
I thought about using a air strike but with one left I was saving it for a bigger emergency. First time thru the game and I don't what still lies ahead :scary: like I said, I made it thru already but always ready to learn something new from a fellow merc...thanks again. :shake:

The boat can provide limited/temporay cover, silenced weapons are helpful. Breaklights can keep enemy soldiers far away. Throw some over the river to light the enemy's banks and part of the river. Use breaklights to protect the left flank too. I always make sure no enemy can cross river from north and east, those cross river and attack from west are lighted by break lights.
At starting point, the #1 priority is move mercs to south-west, then use break lights.(If possibe use breaklights first in the first turn too.)
