After a lot of internet alchemy I was able to download this mod. Great atmosphere, new weapons and characters. Apparently I got stuck in the game. As UB is linear, I guess this mod is also. The furthest point I went to was budha temple ruins where I got the golden statue and gave it to the officer in exchange for radio. I cant get further to the next sector, where should I go?
Maybe I missed some quest, I tried everything. Also could anyone explain what does SOG stand for and what is my mission in Nam. Thanks.

Read Readme-file first.

And in some Tay Ninh sector ( Second if I remember right ), there is three helicopters. Using one of them, you are able to teleport to LZ astro. Then you have to take on of three helis to get back to Tay Ninh. One Heli is in FB Judy, another on bottom right hand corner of a map and third you probably can see on map.

Oh yeah, this is not spoiler.

In case you haven't found it yet, you can leave to the Iron Triangle by helicopter. The heli is in the southern base sector. Take some supplies too because the nearest flight back is some sectors away in the northern US base in L12.

As to what SOG means, I'd say go to my web page and while getting the patch which fixes some nasty bugs in the Iron Triangle region, there's also a link to the SOG69 manual which explains some more about the campaign.

I took the chopper, went to the astro sector, then cleared few more sectors, found single chopper guarded by my troops and he drove me back to the base at the beggining, Im really frustrated, I checked for the readme file, theres none and I dont have the Game spy account.

What's the problem?

You need to find "NVA An Loc Map". It contains password that opens G11.zip . Before you find that item, you have to search it from "down" sectors...

I got to FB George, after entering sector VCs attacked, I kill two or three in the first two rounds and then BOOOOOM!!! an explosion in the center of the sector. After that the game freezes and I end up on restarting my computer not being able to do anything else. I did this few times and every time it freezes after the explosion. Can anyone help me I really like the mod and would be very happy to continue on playing.

I found it best to assault at night.

You have to get to the centre of the base and stand in front of the switch there to prevent the VC from detonating the set explosives.

To do this, you need to use stealth and camoflage to sneak your way in. If you spot any VC and they do not see you, do NOT engage, but continue making your way to the centre. If they spot you, run to the middle.

In the filing cabinet there, IIRC, there is the documents you need for the mission.

In my game, I got there with no incidents, then planted a mine in front of the switch. I then saved/reloaded and detected my own mine to convert it to a flag. I then fought the battle as normal.

Incidentally, I often got game crashes when explosions occurred as well, but usually rebooting my computer got me through (there was one exception though....).

Bane is right! Go at night with one or two of your stealthest cameo, mercs and you can enter and exit with what you need without a shot fired!

Thanks guys, I reinstalled SOG 69 and started over again, maybe its a stupid thing to do but I hope the game will be less "buggy". I got the message. Silent approach to FB George. :axe:

Darrk,

I am playing SOG69 with a clean new install, all going well until I got to the sector you spoke of .. with milita (nvc, usarmy, whatever), vc and bloodcats.

I get through about 6 turns, which takes forever!, then it hangs up ... what to do! Is this sector important? Ill come edit to add the exact location.

Why would you want to do that? There is no more N12 crash with Jays Patch 1 which has been out since Christmas.

Hey

I guess the crash is being caused by something else. There isn't really anything too valuable in the enemy vs milita vs bloodcat sector anyway. But it's a shame that it's still crashing.

You have to go back to a save where the secor is still 'untouched', or the game won't accept the new map.

I got throught the map .. by entering on the north side, and twaking out the guy with the shotgun bf he fired a shot. At least this is what I did .. not sure if this solved the problem.

Now, if I could only find the password to G11 :/ I got the password to dossier1 ... no G11 in there.
