I downloaded SOG69 and it contains more than just maps (obviously). Having run the installer, I'm not sure what to do next. I can't find any detailed install instructions so I guess I have to ask the stupid questions.
What do I do with all the files in the Data folder? I know I need to copy over the campaign maps to UB, but beyond that I am lost.
Did the batch files already execute upon install or do I need to run them?
Do I activate the SOG ruleset before playing each time or did running the installer do that?

Hi Matt,
When you open your interplay/JA2UB folder, go to data, then go to campaigns. Look to see if there is a Vietnam SOG '69 folder. In it there will be a huge list of maps, including some that are zipped (which require passwords to be found in item descriptions on special items in the game). There will also be another "data" folder in there, with subfolders bigitems, campaigns, interface, and npc_speech. If all this jazz isn't in among the campaigns folder in your JA2UB/data/ folder, then your install failed.
The self extractor (when pointed at the right folder) will do all the work for you, with the exception of the Weapon editing. It might do that too, but I remember that that had a special set of instructions which were as simple as run, and hit enter when finished. Once that is done, download and install Dr. Quack's official SOG'69 patch to smooth out errors.
Then you have to "set" the campaign. This is done OUTSIDE the game by opening the JA2UB folder and looking for the "set JA2UB campaign" program. This will run quickly, and you will choose the VietnamSOG'69 campaign from those listed. From then on when you start JA2UB, it will play in SOG'69 campaign.
Don't forget to download the readme and extract it into a separate folder. The readme will give you a heads up on plot, intelligence reports, etc...

Thanks, got it all working this time around.
I guess that I will need to install a 2nd UB so I can use the standard editor.
