I went back and started a new game..actually two new games. The first one I got shot up and was defeated in the jungle sector. The weapons you get initially along with the poor marksmanship makes it very tough.

But on the second game I was much more prepared and also creeped pass the heavy enemy sectors until I got to the base. I have recruited Sarge, Taylor, Spooky and met up with the Commander and Hannihan.

I also am playing on Expert level....the first game was on Novice. Not sure if that has anything to do with getting all the quest or not.
