Hi all,
I installed the v1.01 in the middle of the game and it seemed to work fine until I saw at the end of the fight that my weapons needs different kind of ammo (for example, my sterlings which used 9mm ammo, needs 5.56 mm now) in edition, some items are not what they used to be, the hand grenade is now a Molotov cocktail, the Molotov cocktail is mustard gas, one kind of helmet is now putted on the loins (not very convenient I guess...) and so on.
Do I need to reinstall the game? and if that's the case how do I do it?
Cheers

I've got the same problem, too! I thought doing a fresh install, patching it with 1.01, and installing SOG then its patch would solve the problem. It didn't.

Weapons seem to have the wrong sort of ammo, like the M60 using 5.56 instead of 7.62 NATO. Then there's this French LMG that says on its description that it's uses 7.62mm NATO, but if you try to load the 50-round ammo belt with it, it doesn't accept it. And when did the Sterling start using 7.62mm WP instead of 9mm, and a Swedish SMG using 5.45mm ammo? And the weapons produce different ammo types when you manually unload it. It's quite confusing really, and takes out the enjoyment of an otherwise excellent MOD.

I hope I just got things wrong about the installation procedure, so I'd appreciate it if somebody could enlighten us how to make it work. Thanks!!!

PS> Oh, i can't throw the mustard gas either.

Hey thats looks like a spaghetti mess. Maybe you didn't get all the directories right, can happen when the caffeine bottoms out Smile

Do this: Delete the whole UB folder except the savegames, then install everything again. You already got the order right, UB, then UB patch, then SOG'69, then SOG patch Smile

Sorry for the patching mess, there's no modified .exe included in SOG'69 because AFAIK at the time Jay wanted to minimize any possible legal squabbles with copyright holders. Of course now with the source release thats pretty moot..

Thanks! Smile

I still have to try the reinstallation yet though, but I don't understand how I got the directories wrong since the installer does everything automatically. I'll take a closer look anyway...I'll post back tomorrow. Thanks and I hope I'm not starting to annoy you! Very Happy

I deliberately didn't try reinstalling it all - I think I like the BAR spitting 5.56mm bullets. It accepts the 5.56mm box and loads 100 of the ammo type at a time. Attach it with a sniper scope, a rod and spring, and a recoil buffer - it rocks! hehehe. Very Happy

After this current game I'll try reinstalling UB and SOG. If it still doesn't work, oh well...

Thanks! :naughty:
