n11 vc tunnel crate[message #77944]

i was able to open every crate down there except one. is it supposed to be openable even, any goodies in there? it's also blocking another crate with pretty much the only reason to go down there, and blowing it out of the way just destroys the contents of every crate around it.

I think that might be the one that carries the medicalpack you need to return to the mayor of the city inbetween the LZ and the Main Firebase. He will give you a list of VC/NVA spies or something like that in return. Yes you can open it i believe, you need a high stats mech/lockpicker.

But maybe it's the wrong tunnel i'm thinking of. Haven't played SOG for awhile.

no not the same tunnel, the one with the medpack was in ben suc? or something, this one was in a fireplace in the northern part of um, some village at n11.

It's been awhile since I've played SOG but the situation sounds familiar...as I recall, there was nothing in the crate.

If you want, you could probably load the map into the scenario editor that comes with UB and check the contents...

Now i remember, it's the one with the mines all around the village right? I think there's nothing in it as Bane says, but the VC in the tunnel carry some nifty guns, i did the beat down and rob em on a couple of them and got some prime equipment. Give it a try!

Then it is the same village where i gave some of my mercs a boost in EXP by disabling all those mines.
