What are the Arty Requst forms good for and - most important - how are they used?

they are good for calling in arty Smile

you 'load' them into radio (once you get it) and then use (hand slot)- right click to target

Talk to Hannigan (the guy with the scar) at Tay Ninh Base. He'll give you the quest to get the Golden Buddha (located in sector F13) to him. In return you'll get the Radio.

The radio quite works as the mortar did in regular Ja,(requests equal the mortar shells) but with increased range and damage values - and sadly the weight has been increased too, about twenty kilos now.

Personally, I think the LAW sucks in comparison to the RPG-7 in the game... anyway, talking to Hannigan doesn't get me the mission for the buddha...

It should be...Try again with a different approach or a merc with high Leadership. Gus or Len should do the trick.

Ah! I remember that quest! I did it just last week, or was it the week before that?

How many of you were able to snatch the Golden Buddah without the locals going all hostile on you? Razz

*Big spoiler below*

After maybe the 5th of the locals carving up Igor like a thanksgiving turkey, I found something very odd. I could switch position with the guards. Thus, I was able to carefully move people out of the sight range of the artifact. Then, it was a simple matter of snatching the thing and running back to the nearest allied base.

When I first delivered the buddah to Hannigan, I suddenly got the gut feeling that he was a very very evil person Mad

and that I got cheated somehow...

I play with Unfinished Business version 1.01 with the SOG'69 campaign from JA Galaxy installed.

I don't think it needs to be modded any more, the enemies are doing an excellent job at killing my characters. There's nothing like a RPG-7 missle coming out of nowhere and blowing up your characters to strike the fear of God into you Razz

Even though the item is called, Artillery Request. I always like to imagine that its an "airstrike". Razz

Probably because of that Vrooooom sound after the missle hits.

Even though I origionally had my doubts about the PRC-77 Radio, its quickly become one of my favorite items. Sarge has earned a permanent place on Squad one from using the radio.

There isn't anything better for taking out tanks, or a group of 5-10 enemy infantry.

If it weren't for that thing, I probably wouldn't have an loc base. o.o
