Sorry for the long delay in the story. I hope to bring it back on track and keep it going. Once again please comment on the story good or bad so I know if you want me to continue with it.

Day 11 22:05hrs : The team is assembled and waiting at the entrance to the Calisto subway station. Tex is already grumbling about needing the wide-open range, and all the rest of us just tell him we will be in Galileo before he even knows it. The instant travel of the subways still gets to us all. Before we can even blink, and after changing trains twice we arrive in the Galileo subway station. We move to the West Street parking exit and head up to our waiting fate.

Day 11 22:06hrs : We get to the surface and quickly go into a crouch. Before we can move a red shirted enemy soldier appears through a window. Hick aims and fires her Dragunov SVD and the soldier

Day 11 22:57hrs : After talking it over we have decided to leave Tex on guard up on the surface, while the rest of us go below to find this guy named Shady. We walk down the stairs into a room with a camera in the corner and a door along one wall. A switch of some kind, a poster, a couple of tack boards with messages and notes, as well as a large red button are all seen along the east wall. Since who ever is down here, obviously knows we are here, given the camera, Rude Dog goes up and tries the door. It opens and we are presented with an office lobby of sorts complete with a very attractive receptionist. When the Dog tries to talk with the young lady she just seems to ignore him. Doors lead both to the north and south of this lobby and no one protests us looking them over. The one to the south leads to the bathrooms and the door to the north is locked. Rosebud gets out his lock picks and sets to work opening the door. If this is the place to find this Shady, maybe this is some kind of test to keep out the novices. The north door opens easily to Rosebuds attempt and we walk north along the corridor. The corridor branches to the west, and doors are clearly seen at both the ends, as well as along the north corridor walls. Rosebud finds them all to be locked and asks which way we should go. The door at the end of the western corridor seems like a good starting point and the door yields easily to Rosebud

Day 11 22:11hrs : After looking over our maps we decide to stick to the major sectors of Galileo first and work our way to the outskirts once the main areas are secure. This will hopefully get us some more loyalty from the town

I was beginning to wonder when one of your mercs will drop dead. You must be a hell of a player if you don't reload, for me... impossible.

As I have stated many times, I play Ironman style of games almost all the time now. I have completed somewhere around 200 games of the JA series ( JADG, JA2, JA2UB, JA2DL, SOG69, JA2UC, etc ) over the years ( About 50 to 75 have been Ironman games ). That does not mean I have WON them all, far from it. I have lost quite a few due to very bad mistakes all of which I learn from. I try to keep to the NO reloads and only saving when I secure a sector or have to leave the game ( sleep / eat / go somewhere / etc. )even on JA2UC where the Ironman button has been removed. I have on occation left my computer on for two days or more on the map screen to avoid saving during a combat in a sector. This is the first time I have actually documented a play by play of a game so to speak. What I have written is almost exactly as it has happened. I do add in my own thoughts and comments of course. The action however is what transpires in game with no exclusions. I sometimes play Ironman with AIM, MERC, and Locals or any combination of the three. This is only my third Ironman of JA2UC using Locals only. The first I was killed off before I got the MOC list to Agent-X. Winning is fun but when you give it your best and still lose you really try harder the next time around. I will finish a game right down to the last man or woman. Having my IMP killed does not stop the game nor does the death of any other character. The mission is what matters.

Try it out sometime, it might just change the way you play.

Day 12 00:08hrs : Tex has decided to honor Cobra by using his Ghillie suit. Rude Dog thinks he looks like the son of Big Foot but Tex just laughs. We move around weapons and equipment and move out for sector F-8.

Day 12 00:13hrs : We arrive at the Galileo stadium and immediately spot two soldier in the parking lot. Hick opens up with a burst from her Bizon and the first soldier drops like a rock to the pavement. Hick turns her attention to the second soldier and pulls the trigger again. The hail of lead rips the soldier apart ( 114 damage ) and he joins his companion in death. The scene grows quite and the team slips off into the night. No one seems to have heard nor seen the two soldiers killed so all is well. As Hick and Tex move west along the fence line Hick spots a soldier. A bit to far away to get a good burst from her Bizon she opts for her Dragunov. Knowing the report will draw some attention she evaluates the surroundings and takes careful aim. The shot rings out, and the soldier is hit in the head. The red shirt is dying ( 81 damage ) in a heap but his suffering is short as he slips into death. Hick hears, and then spots, an elite creeping through the shadows. He stops short of seeing Hick and Tex but they both see him. Tex draws his Dragunov and places a round into the elites forehead ( 102 damage ), which explodes with a spray of blood and brain matter. Noises can be heard but no one is seen and so everyone moves quietly and quickly into supporting positions. Tex suddenly spots a soldier entering a lighted area near one of the roll up doors to the stadium. A shot from Tex ( 43 damage ) and one from Hick ( 38 damage ) and the soldier goes down. The night grows silent once again and the team moves closer to the stadium

Day 12 00:44hrs : We arrive in sector G-8 and set up in the northwestern corner, behind a number of buildings. Moving among the buildings we get set up and ascend to the roof. Rude Dog gets an interrupt on a soldier and puts a burst of hollow points into his chest killing him instantly ( 93 damage ). No one seems to have heard and so we move into good vantage points along the roof. Hick spots a soldier near a guard shack and cuts him down with her Bizon ( 78 damage ). Hick soon spots another soldier, this time an elite in his classic gray uniform. Hick knowing the elite troops to have better armor than the regulars, switches over to her Dragunov. With its powerful 7.62x54mmR ammo it stands a much better chance of killing the soldier with one shot. Hick aims and fires. The shot hits the elite soldier in the head causing a massive wound and trauma ( 62 damage and 11 wisdom lost ). She follows up with a second shot to the chest ( 27 damage ) killing the elite. A short time later another soldier appears in Hicks line of fire, this time a regular trooper takes a round to the head ( 101 damage and 28 lost wisdom ). Things get quite, so we just sit and wait. No one wants a repeat of what happened to Cobra so we take our time and let the enemy come to us.

Day 12 00:51hrs : After a few minutes Tex descends from the roof and with Hick covering him he begins to search the surrounding building for hidden enemy soldiers or items of interest. While searching one of the buildings Tex spots a soldier out in the roadway. Hick has a clean shot at the soldier but can

Day 12 01:36hrs : After a complete search of the sector we find some very useful items including an RPD light machine gun, a Striker vest, a Spectra vest, an AKS-74 equipped with an Elcan scope, a couple VOG-25 40mm grenades, a lot more ammo, as well as a bunch of explosives with detonators. The down side is that most of the equipment, including the RPD, will need major repair before they will be useful in combat.

Day 12 01:38hrs : Now we have a big decision to make

Day 12 06:33hrs : All our movement of items has been completed. Betty Fong now has more things waiting for her, than she can afford to buy. Our new base camp has so many items ( 562 to be exact ) that we will have to place most of them in containers and secure them for later use. Hick breaks the equipment into groups, one for items to be sold off to a weapons dealer, such as handguns and low-grade ammo or ammo we have too much of. Another container is used for consumables, First-aid kits, Med-kits, Crepaboost, Crepagen, Camo-kits, etc. A third container is set up for guns and ammo we want to keep and will use. Yet another is set aside ( far away from the others ) for explosives, grenades of all types, gas cans, etc. We also make one for the storage of high-grade armor and upgrades, ALICE packs, night vision, gas masks, and so on that we may need later in the campaign. After all this sorting it is back to the hrs on, four hours off routine for training militia and doing repairs. With two more people in our group the work should go faster but since we have such a large area to defend it is not going to be fast, nor easy.

Day 12 08:00hrs : It seems that Bobby Ray

Day 12 22:51hrs : We are moving out again. This time we will head to sector G-7, where there have been twenty-two enemy soldiers reported to be in place.

Day 12 23:01hrs : We arrive and set up behind a large restaurant. We start to disperse but within seconds Rosebud spots an elite soldier. Standing inside buying some food the elite has not seen us. Rather than start the fight we move behind whatever cover is available and prepare for the worst. Rude Dog moves to the west and spots another elite, who is also getting some food. Still we hold our fire and wait. One of the elite soldiers exits the back door of the restaurant and spots Hick and Rosebud. Hick starts the firefight with a quick round to the elites head, which glances off, only doing minor damage ( 11 damage ). Rosebud follows up with his G3 and hits the elite in the chest ( 23 damage ), and misses with his second shot. Tex draws a bead on the elite and finishes her with a massive hit in the side of her head ( 78 damage ). Rude Dog interrupts the other elite as he comes to the aid of comrade in arms. The RPD spits out a stream of lead downing the elite. Seconds later we are moving again. Rude Dog spots a soldier in the street and places two rounds into him ( 73 damage total ) . The soldier lies dying in the street. Almost immediately a camouflaged soldier appears and Rude Dog stands to get a better shot. His shot is true, tearing a large hole in the soldier

Day 15 20:24hrs : We have gathered up all the useful items. Hick and Rude Dog start training once more while Kelly and Rosebud are doing repair.

Day 15 21:45hrs : A very large contingent of enemy soldiers have amassed in the urban sector of G-7. The number of enemy is reported to be twenty-six. We do not intend to wait and see if they will attack or leave. We are going on the offensive now, while it is dark. We will strike like death in the night. We all gear up and put on camouflage and head out into the darkness.

Day 15 21:55hrs : We arrive and set up behind the restaurant among the trees. Rude Dog immediately spots a red shirt standing in line to get some food. He places two aimed shots into the soldier from his suppressed M4. The hollow points tear into the soldier, the second of which hits him in the shoulder doing massive damage ( 17, 62 damage & 11 point dexterity loss ) and kills him. No one has heard nor seen the soldier be killed and so we are undetected so far. Rude Dog, Hick, and Tex start to move to the west, while Rosebud, Kelly, and Spike head to the east. Before we move two paces, another red shirt enters the restaurant. The soldier moves up to investigate the body of his fallen comrade. Rude Dog aims and fires two rounds, only one of which lands on target ( 42 damage ). Hick can also see the soldier. She aims her Bizon, which is currently equipped with a suppressor, laser sight, and an Elcan scope. With the selector switch on semi-auto, she squeezes the trigger. The 9mm AP round hits the soldier in the chest. With a look of shock and amazement on his face he falls to the floor alongside his companion. Once again we remain undetected and begin to move as before.

Day 15 21:56hrs : Rosebud, Kelly and Spike just manage to get into position when they spot a soldier patrolling the street in front of them. Since none of them have a suppressed weapon they have to make an important decision. Should they allow the soldier to pass, remaining undetected, or should they press the attack, kill him, and raise the alarm. Spike calls over his communication headset and asks for Tex to exchange fire teams with him. Tex agrees and moves to the east, while Spike heads to the west. Rosebud and Kelly keep an eye on the soldier but do not fire. The soldier moves off into a building across the street from Rosebud and Kelly. Every one moves into positions hidden among the trees as Tex joins up with Rosebud and Kelly. On the other side of the restaurant Hick and Rude Dog are joined by Spike, as they spot a soldier hanging out in front of the building across the street from them. The decision is made to try and do this as quietly as possible. Kelly passes his Elcan equipped Bizon to Tex do to the range of the soldier. Tex swaps out the suppressor from one of his Agrams and hands the other back to Kelly. Tex, Rosebud and Kelly continue to swap equipment and set up their weapons. The soldiers do not appear to be all that active so we just wait for the best possible moment to take out both targets. The target across from Hick, gets up, scratches his back, and moves off into the darkness. Equipped now with a Bizon ( suppressor, Elcan, laser ), Tex has a very good shot at his target. A burst of fire erupts from the Bizon and the soldier is hit three times ( 42 damage ). Tex fires another burst ( 61 damage ) killing him in an onslaught of lead. Another soldier who, must have heard the rounds impacting the wall, or the window breaking comes running out from the darkness to the east. Tex is able to get off a single shot at this new threat ( 10 damage ) which brings the soldier to a stop. The soldier pulls out his radio ( we have been compromised ), calls for back-up and move in our direction. Kelly puts two rounds from his now suppressed Bizon, ( which he swapped out with the Agram, to Rosebud ) into the soldier ( 13, 21 damage ). Hick

Day 15 22:40hrs : As we arrive in sector G-10 we are greeted by the sounds of Bloodcats. We head directly to the roof and out of the Bloodcats reach. Hick, Tex, and Rude Dog climb up on the closest roof, while Kelly, Rosebud and Spike run across the street and climb up on that roof. A soldier appears and fires at Rosebud, from the doorway of the house that Hick is on. The shot misses but lets us know we are not alone in this area. At least five soldiers are seen running around like chickens with their heads cut off. Tex is the only one able to get a shot at one of the soldiers. Tex

Day 15 22:40hrs : As we arrive in sector G-10 we are greeted by the sounds of Bloodcats. We head directly to the roof and out of the Bloodcats reach. Hick, Tex, and Rosebud climb up on the closest roof, while Kelly, Rude Dog and Spike run across the street and climb up on that roof. Two soldiers run out into the street to the east of Hick

Day 15 23:37hrs : We have gathered up all the weapons, ammo, armor, etc and arrived back at our base camp. We have gone back to the training of militia and repairing our equipment. This is boring work, but it needs to be done to secure the city. We need to continue our search for the MOC list and any survivors of the plane crash.

Day 16 07:00hrs : We have received an e-mail from Bobby Ray

To all the fans of the Ironman saga:

I will be gone for a week or so and will not be able to update this until I get back. Rest assured that I will continue with the adventure of Hick and her band of Local Mercenaries. :waving:

If you shoot them in the head, they won't get back up, and armor won't help... much.

Day 19 20:00hrs : Fully rested, supplied, ready to get to our next destination, we head out for sector I-8. Reports indicate there is a SAM site in that sector, and we must secure it to allow us to use Goose and his helicopter. Once we take control of the SAM site and train some locals to man it well will head to either Prax or Gotham.

Day 19 21:57hrs : We have arrived and set up behind a long storage building. The entire team slips over to the buildings back wall and climbs up onto the roof. We deploy a few paces apart and a few paces back from the edge of the roofs edge and wait. Hick spots the first victim. She fires a burst from her suppressed Bizon, and critically wounds the soldier ( 65 damage ). The soldier goes into a crouch and out of Hick
