Day 22 22:22hrs : Kevin Cameron AKA Maddog was more than willing to join our group and Reuban went over and talked with Jake, who offered to sell us Gas. We sold off a bunch of the junk we picked up and equipped Maddog for the mission ahead.
Due to unforeseen circumstances the Ironman Radio network has to interrupt this broadcast. We will return to our story soon but until then this is Headshot with a few letters that need to be answered from our fans.

As for what the future holds for our group of rag tag mercenaries, where they will go and what they will encounter, you will just have to stay tuned and see how things turn out.

Day 24 00:18hrs : The sector is heavily covered by buildings and fences. We split up into our fire teams Hick, Tex, Kelly in the northwestern corner, Rosebud, Maddog, Spike in the center of the western edge, Rude Dog, Reuban, and Skitz in the southwestern area between a building and a fence. Rosebud and his team start to move north when they encounter a soldier standing in the middle of the roadway. Rosebud equipped with his suppressed Bizon fires a pair of bursts into the soldier ( 44, 51 damage ) dropping him silently to the pavement. Maddog spots a soldier running off, away from the group, and out of range of his Scorpio, so he lets him go. Spike spots a soldier creeping up from their rear and stops him in his tracks with two bursts from his suppressed MP5 ( 48, 43 damage ). Another soldier runs out from around the corner of one of the buildings and fires a single shot which hits Maddog in the back ( 12 damage ). The sound of the soldiers weapon will be heard a long distance and the group knows the time for subtlety is over. Maddog grabs his CZ 700 M1 and puts a 7.62mm round into the soldiers forehead ( 91 damage ) killing him. The soldier that had run off is now back and Maddog greets him with a shot from his sniper rifle. The round blows through the soldiers head and it explodes like a watermelon, in a spray of blood and brain matter ( 112 damage ).

I've been reading your narrative off and on since its inception. Thanks for all the hard work headshot. Very entertaining! I might even try ironman! What I have tried, I dont know if any of you have ever done this but, tried to complete the game without using guns (knives and hand to hand only). I have been very succesful (I havent beaten it yet) but I have taken over 4 cities. Really difficult and requires alot of saving/reloading. Anyways, thx again headshot, keep up the good work!

Hi Headshot:
Very enjoyable reading. I've just finished my first game of UC, though I admit to using the reload function from time to time. I understand that a true Ironman game must be quite exciting; however, I can also imagine that plays somewhat slow because you might feel to proceed more cautiously than otherwise (I assume you would not send someone boldly around a corner without appropriate cover, ne c'est pas?, which in turn means that you must work a lot on the right positioning of your mercs). In fact, that's arguably part of the fun, but probably more often than not, there is nothing exciting around the corner, and your effort to bring your mercs in a good position was wasted. At least that was my impression when I tried to play more "Ironman"
Best
Hiro
