Anyway to bring Tony back to life? (like a trainer or something)[message #94269]

So this guy attacks me. His name is (was) Tony and he just called me a bastard and opened up on Fox.

Now, me being mighty defensive of my mercs I let him have a burst right back and blew his head off.

A few days later I reach Port Kip and Smithy is talking about his associate Tony who'll provide me with guns.

I asked if this Tony fella had an edgy temper and liked to call people bastards. Smithy nodded.

"Damn it..."

So is there a way to bring him back to life through a trainer, or a file, or something?

You probably whacked crepiton goon Claudia and/or her guards without applying the 2005 quick fix and map fixes.

In the main UC files Claudia is wrongly set to the "San Mona Arms" faction same as Tony so they're (wrongly) on the same team.

Yah she's been whacked.

And I didn't know there was a quick fix for it. Are the trouble shooting tips in the common problems guide or in the folder or what?'

The link to the claudia hotfix is not working.

So have I basically killed my game by killing her?

Also, have you applied the UC Patch Maps zip (2593 KB, Oct-3-2004 version)?

I haven't applied it yet, though I do have it.

Will applying the quickfix bring Tony back to life?

I don't know if they fixed that along with the claudia thing or not.

No, unfortunately there is no trainer to bring Tony back.
The QuickFix allows you to kill Claudia, and Tony remains neutral - after you start a new game.

But, you haven't wasted your time, your current save is just fine. Okay, Tony's a pretty handy supplier of guns & ammo, and a good source of income.
The game is easy enough that you can do without him. Money is one thing I rarely wanted for. The enemy drops are plentiful enough - you may need to rotate your choice of main battle rifle according to what ammo type you've got, and you'll have to do more weapon repairs, but that will add an extra dimension to your game.

Is Tony's pal 1 sector West also in San Mona Arms faction? If so, you won't have a source of NATO ammo in the game unless you restart.

BR, rarely sells 5.56 (30/100) AP ammo so yes, if Tony and Smithy have been taken out then it'll be very hard to come by that ammo, but while Tony is dead feel free to look into that little shed next to his house/shop
