I hope I posted this thread in the right place.

It just hasn't been leaving me alone, I cannot help but to wonder what is inside of Crepaton Corp's "Miricle Drug".

My personal theory is that crepaton (the neon green stuff that goes into Crepegen and Crepaboost). Is nothing more than a potion or elixer made from the Crepetus. You know, those huge buglike monsters that our mercs remember so fondly?

Its kind of a fantasy thing, but the blood of an elf, dragon, or demon were almost always important in making potions in stories Mad

It would account for the amazing regeneration and boosted reflexes.

Does it ever say in the game what it is made out of? Or are we supposed to draw our own conclusions?

Yeah it's said to be made of Fallow Sap.

Brenda, the president of Crepaton, is the daughter of Jack Richards, the man who hired A.I.M to retake the island of Metavira in Jagged Alliance 1. Brenda was the chief researcher on the Fallow Sap project, and during that campaign they tried to find some way to breed the Fallow Trees while extracting the sap from it. Supposedly the sap was a sort of miracle drug that was good for many different ailments that afflict mainly children. While Brenda seemed very benign in JA1, the developers of UC decided that she's a bitch (And I respect that), and is processing the sap into some sort of stable, usable, miracle drug. It seems to work too.

Crepaton IS the extract from the horrid Crepitus. Now Brenda might be who you says she is but tthe exact Brenda you are speaking of was actually reserved for use in a now possibly forever defunct Batman project involving Metavira.

Thank You! Mr. Rude Dog! My curiosity has finally been sated.

I kinda thought that was the truth, but it was nice to have it be confirmed. Crepaton does sound an aweful lot like Crepitus after all.

It would be really scary if someone who used it often enough started to remember things that the bugs remembered..

And what of all the Crepitus\human experiments? I imagine they might be able to create... hmm. I guess I'll have to play the rest of the mod and see if I can get down to the bottom of this!

P.S.

I realize that some people disliked sci-fi mode, and perhaps do not wish to accept it as cannon (despite at least two mods involving the beastie)

And maybe it won't be part of the next JA games.

But it does sound very cool that they will be Alruco's hottest commodity.

JA1 had the trees. JA2 had the bugs.

Maybe we can find a programmer or GFI person to replace the Crepatus with something completely different.
