I'm pretty sure she's taken directly from the Clancy game where she was Israeli special forces I believe. Yup Sayeret Mat'kal and later Mossad, BUT in the games she is part of the multinational (UN) strike force Rainbow, for background and facts read Tom Clancys books. BTW to you clancy fans out there, i dont think Ayana along with some others were mentioned in any of the books.

Man, UC is so much fun I havent gotten far, I am slow-take-my-time kind of player. I like to stop and smell the roses and progress slowly. Right now I have Calisto and Galileo under my control.
The new mercs are great. The use of the IMP voice for Jubilee and Morgan is fine and provides a professional sound. A tip on which voices are used would be nice for new players so they dont duplicate the waves.
I like Rude Dog, but I edited his traits and made him a auto expert. As I have stated elsewhere, he seems more gun nut to me than NO/stealthy guy - I get that from reading your posts over the past few years Rude
I LOVE TEX!! Ambi and camo with NVG he is PWNING with two agrams!! I hired Fox just because he is doing so well to work along side him, plus Tex has a crush on her
My new favorite, Morgan!! I barely paid attention to him when I first hired him, then I found that Maching gun that makes the awesome sounds (cant remember the name of it) and HOLY MACKERAL Morgan is bursting the heck out of that large clip racking up kills like crazy. He makes daytime ops TOO easy for me! (I have a dayops squad and a NO squad).
Ayana - too overpowered, low cost, love flo's waves, but I let her go. Had I known about her ahead of time I would have toned her down.
I am regretting editing in proedit a lot of the aim mercs. I started out trying to revert them back to JA2 original, but ended up changing too much .. like I made Grunty to NO/auto instead of his old JA2 skills NO/HW, Blood to NO/throwing instead of throwing/MA, Wolf to NO/lockpicking instead of NO/teaching, Fox to stealthy/ambi instead of ambi/teaching. It seemed cool at the time, but has affected the difficulty of the game considerably making it far less challenging, even on expert.
Oh well, when the patch comes out and I can get Elhi I will start a new game!!
LONG LIVE THE MOD SQUAD!!!

A few random thoughts.
As to getting voices from other games:
Go low tech. Just record them as they play (tape or digital) then import them and convert to whatever format you want. Granted, it would be time consuming to have to play the game to the point where they say something, but if your playing it anyway just record a half hour or so and then go back and pick out the moments you want.
Favorite Characters:
There's some new guy (Morgan I think?) who is an auto weapons specialist, decent mech. and can apply first aid. He is awesome with the russian SAW that fires the ammo in the silver drum mags( can't think of what it is right now).Almost every time he hits an enemy with every shot! Plus he's strong enough to carry lots of ammo and other necessities like a grenade launcher and it's ammo. I pair him up with Grizzly carrying the same rifle and a morter launcher with 4-6 morters. There's not too much that can get close enough to them before they're cut down to cuase many problems.
But I still like my Night Ops/Stealth IMP. After punching cows and getting his strength and dexterity into the 90's, along with many solo sector attacks that have boosted his Markmenship to 100 and his Agility into the 90's as well as respectable Mechanical, Medical, and Explosive stats from constant use, how could I not have him as my favorite? The only drawback he has is an average Health. I haven't figured out what to do to raise it during gameplay. Other then that, he's an amazing merc and he's free! I've never found it neccessary to shell out the bucks for the high end mercs, although I have tried them out. They drain too much of my finacial resources, limiting air travel and equipment purchases. In the original version, I found Igor and Thor to be quiet and competant enough with their low prices to make hiring Magic and Reaper seem like a waste of resources. And the heavy weapons skill of Grunty, Meltdown, or Grizzly can turn a tank to trash for a pitance of what Gus, Scully, or Ivan cost. The only high priced merc I think is worth the money is Trevor. Although he's not the greatest shot, he is an awesome lockpick, mechanic, and explosives guy. He does the work of three specialists better then most other mercs and he's not sky-high priced. With him on the team plus a little medical skill scatterd around, all my other mercs can be aquired for thier shooting/throwing/killing skills. My IMP can have zero mechanical and explosives skills and not really be hamperd.

I say Cobra, but otherwise, I would say Tex. Must be my old time memories.

No one mention JA2 favourite 'Fox'. Read the post and was worried if she'd been replaced. Glad that she's still around and still my favourite.

In UC it was HtH. I forgot to check when starting the game, so did not change it back to JA2 stats. But her Hth comes in useful at the start. I just recruited Tex who is ambidextrous, so its good for now.
