Hello everybody. I just uploaded a selfmade list of all firearms in UC. I hope that this little piece will help some of you with the choice of your "tools".

Here's the link:

-UPDATE!- These are the most actual versions:
Urban Chaos Firearms - list v1.1
Urban Chaos Armor - list v1.2
Urban Chaos Item Combinations - list v1.0

The list is optimized for the resolution 1024x768.
If you notice some mistakes (which is likely in the first version), just let me know. Post here or send an email to chris.hans@haefft.de .

In the game, it's described as a carbine, so I took it over from there. So the AK-105 can be found among the carbines.

What I left out (on purpose) were the Rocket/Grenadelaunchers and Grenades etc. because I haven't looked through the system of damage, explosion damage and how it spreads over the area yet.

I'm pretty sure that the CZ 700M1 sniper rifle can use a silencer. The one I stole off a bad guy from a roof has one on it.

No it's not possible to use a silencer on the CZ700M1. But i also found one that was silenced and had 66 ammo in the clip where 10 should be normal. Enjoy those tiny bugs, they are to your advantage Wink

@Gideon: Thank you for your report, but I'm using the information I can extract with the WEdit-Tool. I have found at least one inconcistency between the extracted stats and the ingame shown stats too, but it is more likely that some of the modders forgot to change a little bit in the weapon description than the extracted info is wrong.
Of course, I can't be sure at this point, but unless I have more information, I'm trusting the program.
Perhaps if someone of the Mod Squad could comment on this? :wave:

Nice tables! Could you possibly use an asterisk to denote any special features of the armour (i.e. pockets?

I had not really been paying much attention to the differences between the non-helmet style headgear. I had always preferred the Nomex wool caps because they looked like something the special forces would use... good instincts on my part, I guess. Wink

Any info on why they made the Ghillie Suits the way they did? I assume they could not get them to function the way they wanted, but still wanted to use them in the campaign AND wanted the players to use them as well. It's hard on my wee little RPG playing brain though!! :biglaugh: I can't blame them, though.

I had another look over it, corrected some mistakes and added an information about possible attachments like it was wished.
I actually had to change some values I extracted with WEdit (among two or three others also the EOD vest). They weren't right, although I don't know why.

it's 'Clip Kind', column AW

and - just seen it - you may wanna correct the duckbill description. It doesn't really increase the damage, rather as the buckshot spreads out over two fields it makes hitting easier, especially when shooting out of range (but the low-tech era doesn't really exit in UC so I guess it doesn't matter)

One of the first things I do when selecting weapons is to work out which ones use XAP ammo. Certain weapons in JA2 & UB use it, eg G11, CAWS slugs and Val Silent. I suspect the Vintorez in UC to use it.

Ammo includes HP, normal, AP & XAP. XAP is like AP but more so. I forget the precise maths, but someone posted it once and a search should reveal it. The effect is that armour is less effective against it, making the damage it does much higher than the damage stat suggests, when fired on heavily armoured opponents.

You know the late game problem of bullets bouncing off heavily armoured elites? Not with XAP they don't. For that reason, I give everyone in my A team I can a G11 and the others a CAWS. With an extender for the CAWs, they have all the range you need at night or indoors (if you fight outdoors in daylight, you'd be better off with an FN FAL, M16 or LMG). A G11 burst will drop anyone and (with R & S) a G11 can fire 3 a turn. A single shot from a CAWS usually does the same and its ammo is less restricted. The main problems are very limited ammo for the G11 and extenders falling off the CAWS.

Urban Chaos Armor - list v1.1

Actually that's a storage issue. Take a look in Warren Forresters excellent 'Readme' for the Wedit and you'll get the full explaination why it is stored like this.

So, if you want the correct armour points you have to look at the ingame stats - not the wedit stats, or else you won't get the correct numbers.

I've updated all lists now. Thank you for the information about XAP-Ammunition and the armor value-storage issue. Now the weapons which are able to fire XAP-ammo are marked with a "*" and some info about ammunition types is added, including a few formulas I took over from the WEdit-ReadMe. I actually read it before using the editor, but obviously I missed some lines with the armor strength-problem. Wink

The Duckbill description was improved, too.

The Armor Strength is now shown in two values:
The first one indicates the shown armor percentage when I was going trough every armor in game, like Ramfall advised.
But with the help of the extracted values from WEdit I was able to find some kind of constants I could use for calculating the "real" Armor Strength - the numbers I expected to come out of the editor Smile

Anyone figured the use for a medic helmet? It's the same as a spectra helmet..well, almost,
...seems to be harder to repair, looking at the item list. I thought at first it could be used to store stuff..

Just one nit to pick since noone else has mentioned it. The duckbill description. Spose you could mount it in any orientation (line of buckshot from crotch to neck! OUCH!) but it's usually mounted horizontal. The game spreads the shot horizontal.

I have sent you an email. I'm currently packing the three charts to send them to strategyplanet.com. Perhaps they agree to mirror my files. As a .zip, all three together only need 17kb.

btw, I haven't got any problems with any link here in the thread, because I updated all the links I could. Perhaps it's due to the distance of my german server to your PCs.

No, it isn't possible. You can only attach a Laser, Bipod and Rod&Spring to the H&K G3.
