I don't know where it is located, but you're able to find out the enemies' positions, even when you can't see them.

Radio Parts + Broken Radio => AN/PRC-104A Radio
Battery + AN/PRC-104A Radio => working AN/PRC-104A Radio

you can buy the broken radio from a shop keeper in Rudesa, he's in the sector with the huge casino (in the south-east corner of that sector). Think his name is Hans? I don't think he'll offer it for sale every time you visit, so if he doesn't have it at first you should try again the next day... he's got plenty of other interesting stuff too ...
I've got the broken radio but no radio parts yet.. where can i get those? Very Happy

Easy thar, Maddawg!
First you put some batteries in it.
Then you equip it in a Merc's primary hand slot. Then you rightclick anywhere in the tactical screen (your cursor should turn into some handradio icon, just like the remote detonator) and hey, presto; any enemies within a certain range will be displayed with a red dot in the little map on the lower right part of the screen. Real handy, that!

@Maddog.

You can buy a radio and broken radio parts from (used to be) Skipper at Gotham Airport. The radio is the replacement for the X-ray detector in JA2/JA2UB.

You should consider using it for checking:

1. before you use explosives and heavy weapons, esp at night, that you're not going to take out a civilian;

2. before going through a door, that it's safe;

3. where the enemies are concentrated, ie where you'll get swarmed if you send a lone scout.

Just make sure the guy putting all the parts together has high MEC and DEX or you will be spending the next few hours repairing it all over again Very Happy

How high DEX and MEC does a merc need before he can join the broken radio and the parts together? I got Rosebud who's been doing nothing but repairing stuff for me since Day 1, and his MEC is 89, DEX 73, and he still can't put the radio together despite me doing the save and reload thingy :confused:

I think you probably need someone with electronics skill and some mechanical ability as well. Red was able to put it together on the first try for me.
