Does he ever carry anything besides SA80s (the 5.56mm 30 round LMG) and 5.56 ammo? Not that those are bad or anything. And does he buy anything?

He buys some things. Can't give a complete list but sold him some upgraded M4s.

I'm afraid that's all he does carry (after playing a few new games). But I kind of rely on him if I need more 5.56mm ammo, fast! (And pray that he does have some stock).

Maybe you can try bobby ray or tony. They carry more 5.56 ammo than Smithy.

Not in my game they don't. I've seen Smithy with a stack of 15 clips of 5.56 at one time, Bobby Ray or Tony rarely have more than 2-4 clips at any one time.

Does he only have one SA 80 LSW to sell? I got it off him and the clips and he hasn't had anything new to offer since. I found a Bobby Ray's shop in Rudesa, does Smithy or Tony appear there?

Yes, he sells more SA80 LSW - might've been five days before he had another one in my game. I've only bought 2, but I do use him to supplement 5.56 ammo.
