Everyone's favorite .38 replacement, the seemingly paper weight Makarov is generally found by EVERYONE at the beggining of the game. I, for one, have become very frustrated at the incredible skill the enemy seems to have with it, often hitting me from across the screen, while my bullets from buzz (mrk 92) fall harmlessly short. Of course, the enemy's apparent proficiency is not the only benefit to owning the Mak... it can be fitted with numerous attachments, including, but not limited to, a supressor, a laser sight, and, shockingly enough, a duckbill... Does anyone know if this is a bug, or if it actually some how helps you shoot the makarov better?
Just my thoughts.

The best thing I can say about the Makarov is that it easy to find and ammo is plentiful, and they are quick shooters. I give a pair to my worst mercs early on and they become effective fighters. Even Rosebud can manage to hit when he's spraying 6 or 8 rounds a turn. Tex is simply lethal. I keep him on the Maks until the Varjags turn up, just for the rate of fire.
