Why do the police always go hostile on me? I didn't attack any of them, they shot me first in A10... I attacked at night, of course, because attacking during the day with these abysmal weapons is a good way to get killed. I just want to know if the cops always go hostile, or if its a night time thing. It seems every cop in Danubia is hostile towards me too, at Calisto, in other Urban sectors, etc.

Cops in some sectors will attack when you take something from a policw station. If this is not the case, it may be because you saw them at night. Some factions; the Hicks for instance, automatically attack you at night. If the cops were set to this faction that is why they attacked.
Later in the game it's a little confusing because some of the cops not only don't attack you, but give you information.
