Sorry, this may be a stupid question, but do the mines still operate the same in UC? I mean as a steady income? I've just now jumped on the UC bandwagon. I just cleared out the top level sectors of Atremo and thinking of hiring another merc but wasn't sure if the mines would support that or if there's supposed to be another method of income support.

I wasn't sure because there wasn't a sci-fi option for me to pick (only realistic) when I started and was wondering if the mines were affected in the gameplay. Thanks.

 The mines are still there... they just have a different face. The mines still supply income steadily, but its in the form of crepagen refining as opposed to the sale of raw minerals. So g'head, hire that extra merc. You'll need him/her to take calisto.

My typical party is the IMP merc, Dr. Q, Wolf, optionally Spider and the two RPCs from Atremo.

I find that a full or almost full team has it much easier in Calisto but if you already have a team that is as good as this or better you should have no problems once you figure out the best method of attack.

Great, thanks for the info. With the initial trouble I had with just my IMP alone in Atremo, I was worried it could only get worse...it sounds like it does. Looking forward to it.

 I won't give too much away but once in Calisto you will be able to sell uniforms and berets for substantial cash to a certain woman you will find there. Also a handy free merc is available. :ok:
