Well I've read by now all the topics of this forum and I've seen almost everyone talking about having specialezed mercs.. and that's good.. but what if... ?
You take some really cheap mercs and have the specialized??
An example I hired on my first day Jubilee, Bull and got them to be a speciallized training militia (jubilee) and bull an heavy wepon expert :ok: what I mean is that if you improve some of your skills in your mercs you'll achieve what you hav in other mercs
Here's the hints:
High Agility = Stealthy
High dexterity = Ambidextrous + Thowing
High Strenght = Heavy wepons
High Leadership = Teaching
High Dexterity + High Mechanical = Lock Picking
NVG = Night Ops
Sure there are others more but the main to develop in all of them It's the marksmanship wich isn't difficult when you have good shot or have lom marksmanship mercs shooting at some locked doors. :silly:

This isn't the Olympic games... I agree Thor (or Biff) train the full set of militia in under 20", but most of the time I can settle for the double or more, since anyway I'm waiting for my mercs to heal and get their stuff repaired.
Even if non-specialists never reach the efficiency of true specialists, I don't care; On the contrary, I like to employ people who won't be helpless if something unexpected arrives.
I prefer letting Jubilee doing some solitary training, because if attacked, she'll be able to defend herself, and she can catch up all alone with the main team, while Biff would have to be transported by helicopter.
That being said, I have hired Jubilee *and* Biff; I don't use them the same way, that's all.

When it comes to specialized mercs i find its good to have an explosives merc, mechanical merc, and maybe a heavy weapons merc. A specialized medic for example is a waste sence he can't be everywhere at once to heal everyone. When it comes to skill points i want everyone to have high marksmanship, agility, and health. Also having a lot of people with 40+ medic skills is a giant perk for any merc squad. Stats like strenght, dext, wisdom, and leadership aren't stuff i hunt for but can't hurt to have. So in a standard squad i want 3 good combat troops, 1 combat mechanic, 1 combat doctor (usally with medic points above 55) and a combat explosives expert. I recommend a squad compossed of IMP (make sure he/she has medic skill above 55), Shadow, Raider, Steroid, Fidel, and Razor.
