Well let me see.... BLOW THE DAMN DOOR OR WALL OUT WITH A LAW, 40MM Grenades, or TNT. Then toss in a break light with your mercs set back a good distance and if he is still not visable toss in some MUSTARD gas. End of story.

Rod and springs are very plentiful ( I get between 15 and 20 each UC game ). Which weapons is really based on how you play. Save two for your SAWS ( this is a must ), other than that any weapon you use all the time that needs that extra speed advantage.

Also your english is fine ( many english speaking natives don't communicate as well as you do ).

1. Blow the door with explosives, handgrenades, RPG`s, TNT, 40MM`s whatever you like. Might even kill the bastard if he's behind the door or wound him enough to give you an interupt.

2. Put all your mercs around the door and open it, see if any of them has a higher level then that soldier and luckily you get the interrupt. Or he lays fire on multiple targets and wounds a couple of mercs and doesn't kill one. Crepaton regen`s all around and the toolbox to patch-up your vests.

Well that`s some of the tactics i would try.

Use the Rod&Spring for machineguns, sniperrifles or sidearms intended for closequarter battle

*A little headshot competition going on, you beat me just a couple of minutes* Wink

last of the enemy soldiers is inside a house without windows, and only one door. he is not moving at all and when i try to open the door he always get an interrumpt and kill my merc. is another method to kill that man??
A higher level merc is less likely to get interrupted. Also, if you put a merc outside the building on the side away from the door and fire a shot, the soldier ought to turn to face the shot and away from the door. Then when you open the door he has less chance of interrupting you.

Explosives always run the risk of blowing up something useful inside, imho, and I use them as a last resort.

If i put a rod&spring to a m14a1 and then i upgrade the weapon to scoped m14a1 , the rod will remain functionnal??
I don't like the SAW (no scope). I save R&S for M4/M4A1 (yes, every attachment still works fine when you upgrade from one to the other), Dragunov, M21, RPK and Vintorez -- anything I plan to use to the end of the game.

You can cheat in UC if you are short of rods. Put a bunch of springs in a pile and upgrade one with a single rod, and all the springs change. Of course, I'm usually short of springs Sad

there are so many explosives in this game, you can be very liberal with them. I use them for "terraforming", don't mind "wasting" a 40mm or LAW to create another door. RPG too cumbersome to lug around? - unload it into a building. And when it comes to TNT, satchels, etc - there are few other applications for them, might as well use them this way.

*warning: wanton acts of demolition will result in civilian casualties.

Aside from firing a shot, you can have a couple mercs walk noisily up to the door while another merc plants TNT next to a side wall.

Remember:
Claudia is the same group / faction as Tony if you did not edit them before starting your game.

If you kill Claudia (and did not edit), Tony will go hostile and not buy or sell. Changing Claudia after the game started is too late.

The map fixes did not change this!

I thought the Tony - Claudia bug was fixed in the quickfix2. Hmmm. Guess not. Ahhh...damn memory.

The .PROF in this zip has Claudia & Walter faction changed from San Mona Arms to none.
However this zip was only replaced recently. If players downloaded the original Quickfix2 available 30 DEC 2003 it contained the incorrect faction settings.

This revised Quickfix2 patch works ... Claudia wont cause Tony to become hostile but you must start a new game.

Who's Walter? I changed Claudia's faction as advised, but not Walter.
Is he someone whom I have to kill too, thus upsetting Tony & causing him to go hostile?

Walter is the Gunrunners faction leader.
