as far as game difficulty/balance goes, what town should be taken after Calisto? Also, I still have not been able to get into every room in the sector below Calisto with the "green goo" maker guy. Does this area serve any purpose other than a place to pick up that material?

What a cool mod Urban Chaos is; I have spend quite a few hours, days, weeks, and even months playing this through:)Congrats to the team who assembled this game!

Anyway,

The sector in the Calisto basement (the name of the guy excapes me) as to do with the bug quest and getting access to do battle with the queen bug. He may have some other purpose; I have played the bug quest once and nver found more than the queen bug to shoot:(

I think the information has been documented in the forum that the basic order you need to proceed in the game is: Atremo to Calisto to Port Kip to Sheraton to Galileo (and taking Roxx opens up a merchant, Jake, to buy/sell stuff and add money to finance your campaign) to Troy (I've taken Prax while I was in the area to wrap uo southeastern ops)to Drake to Adrian.

This is the order I usually follow and have had no problems. I have read in the forum that some people have reported difficulty in getting the factory owners to contribute to the war effort if they proceeded in a different manner of securing the cities. This may or may not be the case.

Using the above strategy, I have waxed Brenda four times:) with MP5 and it was a sweet experience.

Have fun working through all the game:)

I thought it was jusy that you had to take Calisto first.

Usually, like you, I've take PK second, but after that I'm sure I've done Troy to Rudesa (M4 upgrades for sale) to Galileo then Sheraton to Drake to Adrian and had no problems.

thanks for pointing the way. Would you say it's smarter in the early stages to travel by Metro or by overland map to Port Kip the first time? I walked into the Port Kip station poking around not too long ago and got spanked by the new gang there. Just want to know if it's time to roll up my sleeves for that fight (or go around them and wait till I am tougher)

thanks again
JBF

If you wait until you take Sheraton (after PK) overland, you'll probably be able to spank the gang bangers in the subway. Or just use the little roofs to get the advantage.

DaCheetah has a good point. If you secure Port Kip via the overland route, you can get your hands on some good weapons and gain some experience build up. Plus you have access to both Tony/Smitty for getting weapons; there are some M4 upgrades in Tony's garage.

Taking to the roofs in the subways gives a little tactical advantage which is easier to get by coming down thee stairs. If you enter via the subway, you usually get immediately engaged and have less opportunity to deploy your squad.

Try it both ways and see what works for you:)

Good shooting:)

Personally, I have a fondness for taking the subway. Sure, you probably get more banged up, but it just adds to the tension Smile If you have too good weapons then the subways can be just too easy. I've solo'd many a subway from stairs with just a silenced, scoped M4A1, and I'm rubbish at soloing.

I don't recommend going to Sheraton by subway, though, unless you want to get really, really bashed up. The subway's OK, but once you climb those stairs...

I agree, as the game progresses, the subway clowns get really easy. Although imagine my surprise when taking the Gallileo subway when I pop fox up on a roof to take a peek and I spot 20+ enemies. That was intense, mostly because there seems to be a bug or something similair that incredibly reduces the damage done by grenades fired from upper levels underground.

Sun Glasses and camo in subways helps getting the interupt on the enemy. I think you can buy sun glasses from Betty early on.
