I see the sign for it, but all that's around it is wall.

And why the hell does the floor say "Port Hip"?

I wish more people used this forum. Guess I'll have to take the overland route.

Where there are 2 signs saying "Subway Exit" ... this leads to street level.

Where there is just a sign "Exit" this leads to an adjacent map or upstairs or downstairs.
Most stations have 2 levels.

It says Port Hip to let you know you are at Port Kip station.
Due to a technical problem the actual maps couldn't be placed under Port Kip so the sector description would say something different .... it's a bit confusing.

I know, I saw a subway exit sign, but I didn't see any stairs, just wall. Anyway, I found the tunnel eventually.

And I read about the need for it to say something and about how that works, what I wanted to know is why it says "Hip" instead of "Kip"

It's very hard to create a K using floor tiles .....
The K turns out looking like a poorly formed H :wrysmiley:

For some reason sublevel maps under Port Kip (San Mona) wont allow any soldiers or civilians to be active so if used the subway would be completely deserted ..... hence a couple Drake (Grumm) maps were used instead.
Problem is JA2 engine describes underground maps by their surface city name so upon entry it says Drake which confuses players.
