I read in the earlier posts that in port kip Tony the arms dealer will be hostile if you attack claudia. I did this and do not want to restart the damn game. I despretly need an arms dealer to move my junk and am frustrated hardcore, is there any way i can fix this, and if so may i please have a link to a patch site or wherever i need to go. I would appreciate the help as i am having a blast playing UC. However this would be a major buzz kill if i had to restart. Thank you much :digit:

I don't think that there is any patch that will make Tony unhostile if he is currently hostile at you. The fixed maps will address this issue if you load them into your data directory for maps. Additionally, you can change claudia's alliance through the proeditor in the binary data folder. Both of these will require a new game to be started to incorporate the changes.

If you can hold out, Jake in I6 will buy some low end weapons from you and there is an arms dealer in Rudesa L12, who will buy most weapons from you (He only has like 5,000 per day). Smitty in Port Kip C4, will buy some NATO related weapons from you.

Have you reached Port Kip yet? Have you attempted interaction with Tony?

The fixed maps are in the UC announcements.

Did you install the patch Maps Patch? I hear that patch has the fix for the Claudia bug, but I haven't killed her yet or seen tony, so I'm not sure if that's the case.

can anyone confirm?

thanks

Thanks for the reply. Yeah i am in Port Kip, and thats how i found out Tony is pissed. I didn't install the patch so i am unsure as if it would work. In heinsight i probably should have. Can anyone tell me how much money Tony has daily and what kind of stock he had? I would like to weigh my losses, because i started over and it sure sucks being back in callisto. I planned on just avoiding Claudia untill near the end of the game and killing tony when i have to.

Thanks again

Castle

I can understand the situation alittle; start over or move ahead. Tony has $15,000 daily. He does disappear once in a while. He is probably the best place to sell stuff at the best prices and as the game moves on, he has a good source of ammo, grenades for the grenade launchers, missles, mortar shells...etc. You can sell your spoils to him; I find his store a bonus for income, especially during the early part of the game.

You can go on line to Bobby Ray's and get much of the equipment and ammo that you need as the game progresses, so you still have that source to get the equipment. Go thought the AIM home page via the laptop.

Once you get a few mines secured and have that cash coming in, you might be able to get by without him. You will amass a bunch of weapons and ammo that will collect dust.

If you install the map fixes, which would be a good idea, and/or do the proeditor thing with claudia, you can take her down when you are in calisto and suffer no consequences as you play out the game. For either the updated maps or the pro editor, you will need to start a new game for the changes to take place.

Good luck in deciding wheter you wish to press on or regroup and start over.

Claudia sector's MP5 and AK-47 are a help early in the game, and Tony sells scopes and bipods as well as ammo and gernades.

I started over (after a hard drive crash) and installed the map patch and revised quick fix this time, so right after finishing Callisto I took care of Claudia for the extra equipment as much as for the satisfaction Smile

This time I did the first Atremo sector, then the subway (for the Car-15), then the rest of Atremo (adding Rude Dog), then the casino south of Atremo (for equipment and cash), then headed over the road to Callisto.

Give Rude Dog a chance in your A-team, on day 7 his marksmanship is 92 same as Foxy. Rosebud surprised me too, I kept him in my A-team for the first few days and his marksmanship reached 73.

Look at it this way, in Danubia NATO munitions are meant to be scarce. So, the absence of Tony simply reflects that.
The most powerful weapons in the game are probably the silenced M4A1 and the SAW, depending on your playing style. Their potency is supposed to be tempered by the rarity of ammo, but with an arms dealer sitting near a major subway line this is hardly the case!
This mod is not that difficult, money is plentiful (unless you're fond of hiring the top rank of AIM). The early RPC's are extremely cheap (or free) - plus they are overpowered for the stage of the campaign you'll encounter them in {unlike the later RPC's, some of whom only have amusement value}.
