Building JA2 is quite simple, because it only has very few dependencies. You only need the source code (either from http://tron.homeunix.org/ja2/ or via SVN), SDL and a C/C++ compiler (probably GCC). After getting the source you copy config.template to config.default, edit the latter file and set the options you need/want. Then build the whole thing (either type "make" or "gmake").
