Could the broken patrols exist because Deidranna's initial pool of troops is exhausted ?

It's day 85 in my savegame and several of my mercs have killed hundreds of enemies.

I only meet broken patrols. No attacking enemies behave like before. First I thought it was a new bug in stracciatella, but it could be that the game now uses another portion of the code to "train" soldiers, in which the bug is.

Maybe I could try to find the pool of troops in the savegame and hexedit it ?
Edit: or better change the code to save a fixed number.
