This indicates, mainly, how likely it is for an incoming bullet to hit the armor instead of the person. If this setting is turned off, all armors have 100% coverage and so incoming attacks will always hit them.If this setting is turned off, all armors have 100% coverage and so incoming attacks will always hit them.

As always, thanks Headrock. Now, I'm assuming this is only true per-piece. So even if you have an 85% coverage vest but no leggings, then it's still 100% chance that a hit to the legs will taste flesh, right?
