I'd even say there are more mac than linux users but that would probably angry the developers.

I think Tron is on BSD, not Linux. There is no other developer. Stracciatella is the work of a single person.
It's goal is to let you play JA2 everywhere where the graphics library "SDL" is available. It's not achieved yet, as MAC users can tell for instance.

Some of the features you're asking for are reasonable but I think there's no chance that Tron writes them himself. Some other people should do them and submit patches. I fear that things which need additional data like Mythrell's 800x600 screen patch would be rejected because Tron would have to pack and host the data on his site. A patch that lets you play without speech should be accepted because it doesn't alter anything but Tron would certainly not host the corresponding stripped data (stracciatella already runs without movie and without music).

...But then you get completely idiotic stuff that makes you go 'puta mierda, porque?' like the decision to have your enemies bodies just vanish seconds after you shoot them 'WHY?' this is so completely unrealistic and stupid ...

I have never seen that in stracciatella. Bodies stay where they fell for several days and rot. You might play with the "no blood" option or it's a bug.

This one looks like a "cultural shock" between Windows users and Unix users. Straciatella complies rather well with the Filesystem Hierarchy Standard policy. It lets you install the data files in a system-wide folder mounted "read only" where users can share them, while your configuration file, maps, savegames and everything related to you only are in your home folder.
