I've run into what looks like a bit of a problem while examining the code. Namely, this problem is NAS.

I could easily change an item into a new one, and there are functions that automatically check attachments and make sure that the new item can still hold all its attachments (invalid ones are automatically removed as far as I can tell).

However, because the NAS system is so friggin complex compared to OAS, I can't find any good way to change an attachment into a new item. It's not as simple as changing the item index number and letting the program sort it out - we need to find out what item the attachment is currently attached to, then alter the data for that item to cause the attachment to change. In other words, if I just change the attachment itself into a new item without messing with its "parent", the game might crash or the item might not actually change at all.

The problem of course is that I have never seen NAS before, and its complexity means I don't even know how to work with it. Without help from a coder experienced with NAS or just good enough to figure it out, it may be difficult if not impossible to make any changes to attachments without unattaching them first. I may be able to work around the problem somehow, but there would be no guarantees that it'll work...
