The JA2 patches can be found at Kermi's. 1.05 is there as well. For the "CD not found" message, I doubt it's due to the drive being a DVD instead of a CD, but not really sure what is at fault there.

Any particular reason you need 1.05 or 1.06 patch? Why not use 1.12 (which I think removed the cd-check)? And if 1.12 does suit your needs, but you still can't get the CDs to work, JA2 is still sold in many places, including GOG and Steam.
