....more tricks....

11) Smoke severely degrades your accuracy if you have to fire through it, but for some reason, it doesn't seem to affect things you *throw* through it. So throwing knives and grenades seem to be as accurate with or without smoke in the way.

12) In early versions of JA2, you could punch the icecream truck or the Hummer in order to raise your ST/DX. This was particularily useful for those mercs whose conscience would not let them beat up on cows... But in the current version of the game, this is no longer possible. In addition, using bug elixor and sneaking in front of a crowd of crepitus no longer increases your AGI. There is one semi-cheating way to increase ST that still works though....load up your merc with as much stuff as possible so that they are overloaded (I've had mercs around 500% encumbered). Then set them to move to some sector (be SURE that the first sector they move through is NOT a city sector) but do NOT actually move there. Instead, cancel the move and they will receive credit as if they had moved a sector. This tactic does not fatigue your mercs, takes no game time and can be done on a full squad of mercs at once.

13) You can plant/dig-up a landmine ad infinitum and have zero chance of blowing yourself up. You can easily raise yourself from EXP35 to EXP100 in 5-10 minutes. Aside from the benefit of having a large explosives skill, there are 2 side benefits: A) you gain experience when you gain skill points by doing. Typically a merc will go from LVL1 to LVL4. B) A high EXP skill is pretty much required if you wish to place/disarm explosives in order to increase your Wisdom.

14) On many mods that give LMGs larger magazines (eg. Wildfire or SOG'69), an ejected magazine has zero weight.

15) Energy boosters are useful when a) fighting in the San Mona ring b) climbing onto a roof to subdue a guard c) running up to a enemy to beat him senseless and steal his weapon.
