Recently a fan and poster from the German JA2 forum, and visitor here Thor Kaufman posted me an old alpha build he supposedly acquired on an online auction site. It appears to be an older build while JA2 was in development and so far there seems to be some interesting historical indications.

First off, browsing some of the faces it seemed some needed more work before they became the mercs we all know and love, check out these few for example;

Magic appears darker skinned, which would quell the argument if he was black or white. Len looks quite scary and Gus a lot more meek.

What makes me laugh the most is Sidney, in cowboy hat and tan shirt. Anyone noticing some resemblance here from the film Lone Star, which was made a couple of years before JA2's release.

I'm not sure I'll be able to look at Sidney quite the same way again. Well alright, alright.
