Playing the most recent version. Been great until now. I have disease and town militia recruitment pool on. I am not sure if this is a bug or a feature of which I am missing something crucial, but this is what happened DAY 6.

One stroll through the swamps to find skyrider and ten mercs dead. Everyone contracted a bunch of diseases. I had Danny, Fox and Beth with gloves and masks working 24/7, but I can't save my mercs. Health drops and diseases get worse. What gives? Is this a bug?

Playing on expert. I conquered Drassen DAY 2. Turned off the Drassen counter-attack. I haven't lost a single fight. Couldn't raise town loyalty above 60%. No problem, I thought. Now it's DAY 6 and town loyalty is at 0%. I have militia there and everything should be alright. What is dropping the loyalty? Is my campaign over?

Maybe they are bugs, but I can't figure out what is causing them. If anyone has any idea please tell me. Even though I am almost at the beginning I don't want to start over the whole campaign.

Diseases will only be cured after HP is fully healed before. Let each and every merc carry masks/gloves in inventory, not only the doctors. do run "diagnose" as soon and as much as possible. that way you have a chance to be aware of infection before the outbreak. burry the dead to lower infection points in sector. swamps and jungles are the type of sectors that have the highest chance to hand out plenty of infection points, avoid them if possible. first heal standard wounds. after that treat diseases.
if you use some recruitment pool, i assume you need to gather volunteers to fill up that pool and gain loyality when doing. if it went to 0% and disease is involved, it may can be that the sector is infected and your workers/volunteers drop left and right. there is a "treatment" assignment with disease, that should cure the sector (lower infection points). buy access to WHO webpage, with this you can see a special coulered map that indicates severence of infection. when treating disease, make sure every merc is cured. some disesease can re-infect which probably started your vicious circle.
take a look at "Flugentes Magika Workshop"-thread, there are feature descriptions for disease and volunteer pool (and a whole lot of others). there you find what i wrote and more in detail.
some features are intented to make your live considerable harder, to give long time players another challenge or something along those lines. disease and volunteeer/workers/militia pools probably file under that.
once your familiar with disease, it's just another layer of micromanagment and only somewhat challenging in early game. same for volunteers, early on hard to get, later the numbers are ridiculous high. that said, it's probably no bug you face, try to make yourself a little more familiar with feature contents before starting the play and enjoy.
for your current play, may go back a few saves, hand out masks and gloves. run diagnose and wait till all are cured. as last resort, make a save and use cheats to take a peek into infections (you'll see infection before they are high enough to be diagnosed). then go back to save before cheat to avoid cheat-entry in log, if that is a concern. Cambria Hospital also treats disease and at pharmacies you can buy medicine for some (not all) diseases. if you use "additional civilians/merchants" there will be some pharmacies. if not, there is always one in Balime.
