FunkyFr3sh from cnc-ddraw was very kind and did it for me, via hex editor, see also https: //github.com/FunkyFr3sh/cnc-ddraw/issues/379 .

Maybe it would be worth an idea to disable the resolution check in the source for future releases, making it easier to fully use your monitor with cnc-ddraw happy
