Not sure what "thing" you need for which "guy"... the medpak for Yannie's folks can be found in a tunnel at the furthest southwest portion of the map. Give the medpak to Yannie, and he will give you one of the zip codes you need. (I actually thought that was the one that opened the heliport north, but maybe not).
There is also the map packs that can be found on a black-clad elite in the eastern part of the Iron Triangle, which gives you another password.
The FB George report, if you manage to return it back to the first base commander, will net you either a silenced rifle or another artillary shell for your "radio", which you can receive from the second commander at the same base in exchange for a golden Budda found at in some ruins to the far north.
Once you are able to move into the next segment of sectors, you'll have to find a certain pilot to get yet another password. 
Now if you're just asking about Lt. Stone's family lighter, that's in another VC tunnel... and you get a wonderful reward for returning it, so it's worth the hunt!
