 Go over to the 1.13 forums and see how to get the source code and compile it. Play around a bit. Then find something you want to do or that needs doing and do it. Once you are done let "us" know and if it is acceptable, you're in.

And play lots of game and try to find bugs, too.

I have.I was thinking of doing some bugfixing first, to get a feel of the code. Is there a list of "things that need to be done"? Or should I just go on and find my own bugs to fix?

 Unfortunately, we're don't have actual list of bugs, nor such tool, like bugzilla, to track them efficiently. You can act as you prefer: trying to find bugs by yourself, or tracking events in ja2 1.13 bug reports tread. Our wiki site http://ja2v113.pbwiki.com/ contains some info, but it's already outdated.
