Is it just me or are mines only good against us players.

I tried using mines on numerous occasions, the computer just do not fall for it.

When I hold myself up in a building and put a mine in the only door way, the enemy simply do not enter, it is as if the invisible mine is an obstacle for him into the room, he does not even open the door. But if I removed the mine or reload the game without the mine, they come rushing in so fast!! So I think the mines need to be fixed so it can work on the computer as well as us.

Whether or not the enemy finds your mines depends on the level and explosives skill of whoever buried the mines.

Mines can be used against the rednecks east of Cambria with great success.

Mines can also be used for area denial, just bury them and uncover them yourself (blue flag), the tile then becomes impassable. Great for repairing damaged fences.
If you have enough mines, you can use them to funnel attacking enemy into your prepared killzones this way.

So mines are far from being useless, though they obviously are only good if you are on the defense.
