One thing I still don't know after playing Ja2 nearly since its release, is the effect of the duckbill. The descriptions sais it's built to give the flying bullets another shape, so in a row insead of in a circle. The only effect I see is, that most of my bullets will miss the target, giving it lesser damage for health and breath. So in my opinion it's useless, but as an attachment, it should give a bonus. So which one is that?

You are correct, the duckbill is more or less useless. Its supposed to make it easier to hit for buckshot and flechette (if you're playing v1.13) ammo, but it spreads out the shot, so it makes it easier to hit, but less pellets hit their target.

yeah. only usable situations for a duckbill is if you have an early game situation with multiple enemies clustering up. One shot with the DB can hit multiple targets and disable them from getting interrupts this turn. quite sensible, but limited to special situations and more of a secondar tactic.
