I love the AN-94, the most accurate assult rifle in the game, with an accuracy of 8, it's more accurate than all of the semi automatic sniper rifles. The 2 round burst is also excellent. The only thing is I think it's really hampered by being a WP gun with 5.45mm, because none of the picany rails attachments like Flashlight LAM and Grippod are attachable; and 5.45mm only comes in AP and HP. So while I love this gun and would love to use it as one of the basic guns in my primary squad, it just doesn't fit into any role at all, and there's always a feeling it's like the suppressed but talented kid in a bad class.

SMG?: [Kobra, Foregrip, Folding stock, AR suppressor]
The lack of 5.45mm cold ceates the doubt of just how silent is it? while it has excellent range, it doesn't have the rate of fire or AET ammo.

CQB?: [ACOG 4x Combo, Insight LAM, ForeGrip, Folding stock]
But then it has neither the speed of FAMAS 2, nor the punch of a 7.62 round. And many times you really need that 3rd bullet in a burt.

DMR?: [7x scope, Reflex sight, Insight LAM, Bipod]
The lack of a 5.45 match is really beginning to show, it's very accurate, but 1) it can't reach far enough, and 2) it doesn't pack enough punch, most enemies can get shot in the head then carry on as if nothing happened.

Sniper? : [PSO-3 scope, Insight LAM, Bipod, Flash suppressor]
The range of 33 just isn't enough. Even if there was match 5.45mm, with 43 range, I'd still want a gun barrel extender on it.

How do you use the AN-94? and what do you think of it?

I use the Abakan occasionally as an AR. Although it is accurate and the burst is really good, it uses a lot of APs to fire, and the draw cost is a little much. Slap on a PSO-1 scope. I tend to stick with tracer ammo when I use it. I wouldn't use it as a CQB weapon, and it definitely shouldn't be used as a DMR.

It's a great general purpose AR for secondary fighters. The accuracy not only makes the second round in the burst more likely to hit, it also makes it a must for psychos on a bullet-budget Razz
I use it as a grunt weapon for mechanics, medics and grenadiers/heavy weapon guys.

My frontline fighters will carry a LMG or 7.62 AR (M14/Scar-H/HK 417), CQC/NOps a FAMAS/P90 and snipers, well, a sniper rifle Wink

Th AN94 Abakan's gas/recoil operation is based on the mechanism of the Pribor-3B bullpup.
