Hey there guys. After downloading the latest patch I decided to start a new game from scratch.
So instead of the usual Grunty-Ivan-Igor-Custom Merc I went with Ice-Wolf-Dr. Q-Custom Merc.
When building my custom merc, I gave him auto weapons/night ops, and 99 in health, dexterity, 90 strength and 99 agility, 99 wisdom at a severe handicap of all other skills (35 at markmanship, he cannot even attempt suicide with a weapon because he'd miss his own head).
I also made him non-swimmer because I thought I could use those 20 extra points in some other skills; after all, there are very few tiles where you even are allowed to swim, so what the hell.
My merc sucked at first but after some battles, he's become level 5, around 80 of marksmanship and so on. Quite a tough guy.
Now, there's something that really, but REALLY pisses me off about him, which is the rate at which he losses stamina. He's not normal at all. He takes longer to recover from a depleted blue bar; after kicking or forcing open a crate, he will get a much bigger hit in energy than ANY of the other mercs in the squad, even Ira.
I've read all the topics related to non-swimmers and it is clear that they will take a hit on energy when attempting to swim, but not on the other activities, right?
So right now I have 4 theories:
1) The non-swimmer trait affects the rate at which a merc losses stamina, even if he's on dry land.
2) The 99 health-agility-dexterity might have a negative impact on stamina.
3) My merc likes to play with himself whenever I exit the tactical screen, so that's why he's always with that he tires so quickly.
Annoyingly, this is not related to the need for sleep my custom merc got. The top sleeper in the team is Wolf, followed by Ice, then my merc and then Dr. Q, who needs the least sleep of them all.
Can anybody tell me what's going on with my custom merc?
Tks

LOL!!!!! PRECISELY THAT'S MY POINT!!!! By playing with himself he should replenish his energy, exactly like I do (I train olympic weightlifting and I have 3 girlfriends, if you know what I mean).
Now seriously. Has anybody ran into anything similar? I can send you a savegame if you want to see it by yourselves.
