Hi. I downloaded the STI editor from kermi but it is in german. It has an "english gui" but i don't know how it is supposed to be used.

The other sti editors from kermi page are german and polish. Is there anyway to have an english Sti editor?

Aside from that, iknow it's probably a stupid question, but howdo people convertan sti file into bmp/jpeg or any drawing file?

You can export it using the copy button at the top and pasting it in the editor of your choice (Paint, PSP, Photoshop, GIMP...).

Here's a description of everything in STI Edit. Remember though for large images you'll need grv to import them into STI files (large being 1024x768ish).

Hi Kaerar, Is this pic in the noob starter pack or on the Wiki? This question comes up occasionally and you did such a great job with the pic, I feel it makes sense to have the pic somewhere more offical.

No its in the current Weapons that need redoing thread and on Zarax's FTP server only AFAIK.

If someone wants to stick it up on the Wiki that would be a great help and add it to the noob starter pack Wink

I think you have to have the OS language set to english to get the English UI working, but that's just a theory too. I can't test it as it works in English for me already!

That gave me an idea and yikes, it looks like if you change the STI-Edit.en file name to your Windows language it turns on the english version. I'm using Finnish Windows 7 so for me changing from STI-Edit.en to STI-Edit.fi works.

Why didn't I think that before when I did the graphics? :headbanger:

LOL it worked! I put it to "fr" for france and now it's in english!

This should be explainedin the readme of the sti editor for future people who wonder how to use it.

Wow such a simple fix for it, never clicked until this thread it might use the actual computers localisation to confirm the change to English!!!

Just tested that and can confirm that it works.

I have actually two versions of the STI-Edit, English and German.

I copied the STI-Edit.en into the German version and renamed STI-Edit.ru (part of the German version) to ~STI-Edit.ru and the German STI-Edit had now English text.
