Hy there.
Haven't been around for almost a year now, thought there might be some news, and there you got me again with the latest updates.
As I'm a perfectionist, my mercs usually call me many different unpleasant names, 'cause mostly they have to carry 3 guns with them, each best for a different range (rifle/long range AR, SMG/MP/small AR for mid range combat and a sidearm for <7 tiles distance). Now, with the NCTH and the new attachment system I find it a bit troublesome to read the CTH difference between different scopes on different ranges. I mean, the new indicator is perfect for normal playthrough, but if you are trying to find the top scope/laser config for your gun, comparing the diameter of the crosshair is a bit... well, hard? So i wanted to ask if there is a way to show the direct CTH numbers, or at least the crosshair diameter?

ChrisLThere is no direct cth number in NCTH. That's the point of NCTH. It doesn't use a hit/miss percentage like OCTH does. NCTH calculates the area in which the bullet can go based on range (visible and real), terrain, your mercs skills and other factors, then picks a random point in that area to pass the bullet through. If that random point intersects with your target, then you hit.
It's hard to get a "chance to hit number" analytically but it would be easynumerically. One way to do this would be to let the computer pick 500 random points in that area in let me know what % hit my target. Not sure how computer intensive that would be, but I really would appreciate this.
