When the Technician trait is selected during IMP creation, this also increases the minimum requirement for Explosives. Which means I can't reduce a character's Explosives to zero. Why is this? Shouldn't it just affect Mechanics?

This should be changed IMO.

1. Open Skill_Settings.ini
2. Find "SET_MINIMUM_ATTRIBUTES_FOR_TRAITS = TRUE"
3. Change it to "SET_MINIMUM_ATTRIBUTES_FOR_TRAITS = FALSE"

I believe that Sandro selected this requirement because the technician has an increased chance of detecting and disarming (bomb) traps. How is he supposed to do that without knowledge about explosives? In my opinion this requirement makes sense. The requirement is not high, just 45 points which still may result in a few explosions if the RNG hates you. Wink

Oh yes, you are right. There is no bonus for disarming bomb traps, only for detecting traps and mines. That might be the reason for the requirement.

I just cannot think of a character who would be a skilled technician/engineer but have zero explosive skill (which is a pretty technical skill in itself)..

What next, a marksman who is also mysteriously blind? guy without a leg with the athletics skill? :laugh:

So I'm assuming you are doing this with maxing your points in mind (as opposed to a RPG character).
