Hello Everybody.I have maded some expirement with additional IMP chars I hope such addition can be added to trunk.


1.First of all i maded few changes in ja2_option.ini:

2.Then i added some information to Mercprofiles.xml:

3.Then i added appropiated voice files like Speech files,Battlesnds files,Mercedt files(i made a copy of 51,52,53 speech,mercedt,battlesnds files and upload them to appropiated folders in data-1.13 directory)(mercedt files i used form english version of jagged alliance,the voice files i used from Russian version of jagged alliance)
4.made some changes in hiddennames.xml like:

5.made changes in mercquates.xml and mercopinions.xml

6.in data-1.13\tabledata\sound\sound profiles made changes(enabled sound for new IMp chars)

6.Installed on 6232 revision of 1.13 mod(so it based on this revision)

In game i can create 10 imp chars.Those new imp chars during creation have voice.All seems work fine

If you have trouble with russian language there is a English button on lower right corner of this site.Click on it and site became in english variation.

Nice, Parkan! Always good to have the option of extra IMPs.

I still have some voice files somewhere for an IMP I made several years ago. Assemebled in a nice package by the Scorpion. Let me know if you are interested to use them for yourself. They are in English, with subtitles included.
Scheinworld is planning to use them in his mod for a character that you can hire in-game. Just haven't got to recording all the extra files yet as I need some privacy for it and it's a real hassle to have the recordings done well also... Kinda frustrating sometimes, actually, so I admit I'm not always in the mood for it either. Background noises of the laptop, fridge, cars, & shit like that don't make it easy...

When i decided to do this i think it was not to easy to add IMP chars.I was wrong.If forget about renaming wav files(thank you for Renamer programs)the work was easy.I don't know if we can add more IMp chars because i used only 3 of 4 slots in ja2_option.ini:
; The following are empty in standard JA2 1.13 but do not have full voice sets.
IMP_MALE_5 = 192
IMP_MALE_6 = 193
IMP_MALE_7 = 194

I don't add number 8 IMP because i thought it will be already too much.10 IMP=10 Man squad.I think it enough.Thank to ROWA for adding this stuff to trunk.

Maximum squad size is 10 so I agree that 10 IMPs is enough. You can have a full team of customized chars. What more could you want? Thanks for the work. Gives me a reason to start over. Damn... Very Happy
