Hi, guys.

I'm trying to add a new item on XML editor which 1.13 mod basically offers.

So I downloaded a premade sti file named p1itemsxxx for the item icon and added it into Bigitem folder. Then I executed XML editor.exe, right-clicking for adding a new item but no item image added in general tab.

I wonder what goes wrong with that.

Items have three different pics.

1.) Bigitem pic in one of the colour palletes (like P1itemxxx, where xxx is the number of the item. If your last item in the list is 857 for example, you want the new item to get 858. Thus you would save the item as p1item858.sti).

2.) medium sized items for the interface. Those are saved in the interface folder and contain one file for each colour pallete. These are multi-item files, you can scroll through them with the buttons in the sti editor. You want your new item to get the same number as the big item.

3.) a small sized item for the map interface. These are saved in tileset\0. You want the item to get the same number as in 1 and 2.

The xml editor wants all three pics to work properly.

Thanks for your advice. I understand it. By the way Do I need to fund to get STI editor? Or any other way?

To edit sti-files you could either write tox and ask to participate in the beta of JA2STI which has for me the problem that i cannot load files i edited with it in the version i currently have (this information may already be or soon be outdated Wink

)

or look at Kermis FTP archive under "Ja2 and "modding tools" for STIedit ... a bit buggy and not that good for actual editing (imho) but for adding pages to meduim and small versions and pasting pictures into them from the clipboard a good choice.

Just don`t do too many edits without saving. And keep backups, especially of original files Wink
